Winters are mild, with only a few days in the low 30s. During the colder months, you can visit several lakes and mountain areas for an exciting day trip. There’s a huge arts scene in Greenville. Local, regional, and national bands perform here. The Greenville Symphony Orchestra and Carolina Pops Orchestra are two notable ensembles. Downtown Greenville boasts a variety of outdoor activities and parks. One of the most popular destinations in Greenville is Falls Park on the Reedy, a large regional park with waterfalls, gardens, and access to the Swamp Rabbit Trail. The park was redeveloped in 2004 and includes a pedestrian suspension bridge that overlooks the Reedy River. You can even camp in the park here if you like. The rushing waterfalls and lush greenery are truly breathtaking.
