The historic town of Lewes is home to several museums. The oldest building in the state is the 1885 Ryves Holt House. It served as an inn until the early 17th century. Additionally, the University of Delaware College of Marine Studies is in Lewes. Finally, the Lewes Ferry is the southern terminal of the Cape May-Lewes ferry.
