15 Typical Gifts from Marseille

October 25, 2021 | More: Marseille| Souvenirs

Marseille is a lovely seaside town in southern France. The entire region surrounding the city has a beautiful, welcoming feel. Many visitors to Marseille come from afar just to soak in the sizzling atmosphere. For these visitors, there are many souvenirs that they can bring home with them as a memento of their trip. One gift to give them is an authentic souvenir from Marseille.

There are many things to consider when buying a souvenir from Marseille. First, do not forget to include any souvenirs from Marseille’s famous wine region, La Bordeaux. You can purchase beautiful bottles of French Champagne or Semillon wine from this region. You will find souvenirs in or on bottles of this wine, which can make a wonderful gift for a friend or family member living in France.

Another souvenir from Marseille that you might want to consider bringing home with you is a soap. There is a great selection of soaps available in the Marseille area, and they are all naturally scented. Some soaps have very light scents, so you can bring home a nice scent without making the soap too overpowering. In addition, there are soaps that have a muskiness to them, which makes the soap more pleasant to rub into your hair. You can purchase a bar of soaps at any health and beauty shop in Marseille.

Another souvenir that might not seem so commonplace is an olive oil jar. Many olive growers in the region grow olives in large fields, hundreds of meters away from homes. These olive trees are often incredibly far away from the homes of their owners. When they harvest the olives from these olive trees, they often ship them home on small boats, called gulets. These little boats are called charter boats, and many families have charter boats on which to take vacations around the region.

One of the greatest Provence souvenirs is the little prince. The little prince is a symbol of France’s cultural heritage, as he represents what the French refer to as their culture and ethnic identity. Many people believe that the legend of the little prince was brought about by the Franks, who were from the Franks region of France. In addition to being the origin of the little prince, Marseille has been identified as the place where Anne of Cleves was born. Many tourists will be surprised to learn that the name of this princess is truly remarkable, given that she would have been only 2 years old when her husband, king Henry II died.

Other items found in Marseille include salt blocks, sea salt, and cream of tartar. Sea salt and cream of tartar are two common ingredients in traditional soap making, and this particular type of soap has been known for its healing properties for centuries. While there are other types of soaps in the world, none has managed to capture the popularity of the authentic Marseille soap, as many people will tell you that it leaves their skin feeling soft and smooth.
