You can also visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium for a chance to see the rescued dolphin Winter. Winter, the dolphin movie star, died in November 2021. Pier 60 is also a fun destination for families. There are bungee rides and giant inflatable slides to enjoy at Pier 60. Pier 60 is also the place to go at night, as it hosts live entertainment every night.
At the Gulf Islands Tourist Area, you can enjoy a half-mile boardwalk. The boardwalk is open every day from 8 a.m. to sundown, 365 days a year. It’s open for surfing and paddleboard rentals. If you love sunsets, you can also watch the spectacular sunset from the Hurricane rooftop bar. If you’re in town during the summer, you should plan to stay until the evening to watch the sunset from the beach.
