The city of Delta Junction is located in Southeast Fairbanks, Alaska. As of the 2010 census, the population was 958. This was down from 840 in 2000. The city’s population was estimated at 931 as of the 2018 census. The town is located just south of the confluence of the Tanana River and Delta River, known as Big’s Dam. There are several hotels in Delta Junction, and there are several shopping centers.

The town is known for the Alaska Highway, which begins here and ends at the Canadian border. It was originally a construction camp, and later it became a military post. Today, this community is home to the Pogo Gold Mine, which recently celebrated its tenth anniversary. Since 2006, the mine has yielded more than 3 million ounces of gold, and employs more than 300 people. The town also has a variety of other attractions and events that are well worth a visit.

For more information on the history of the town, visitors can visit the Delta Junction Visitors Center. Located near the original log building, it is a must-see for anyone interested in the Gold Rush. Its location along the road makes it a great place to stop for lunch. For tourists with a thirst for gold, the Pogo Gold Mine is located in a prime location. Once a working mine, it produces more than three million ounces of gold annually, and employs more than 300 people.

The town of Delta Junction is the first place that you’ll find the Trans-Alaska Pipeline. It crosses the Tanana River at mile 275.4 on the Richardson Highway. There are several restaurants and pubs in Delta Junction, and the city also has its own brewery. There are several hotels in Delta Junction. All of them have good reviews. It’s worth stopping by if you’re traveling to the area. The town has a few different lodging options for travelers.

The town is located in a valley that is famous for its wilderness. You’ll find several national parks in the region. You can visit the Yellowstone National Park in the northeast, the Clearwater State Recreation Site in the southwest, and the Tanana River Bridge in the east. If you’re looking for hiking trails, the town has many places to explore. You can also see Mount Shand, Mount Deborah, and Hess Mountain at a distance of about five miles to the north.

The northern lights are visible in all four seasons of the year in Delta Junction. In fact, there are more than two hundred million stars in the sky! The city is one of the last places where you can see the aurora böjorea, otherwise known as the northern lights. This phenomenon can only be seen in dark skies, so it’s best to go at night when the skies are cloudy. For the most spectacular views, stay in the north of the city.
