If you love dinosaurs, you can visit the Glendive Dinosaur and Fossil Museum. It is the biggest dinosaur museum in the US, and even has a 49-foot T-Rex skeleton! The museum is focused on biblical creationism, but you can learn more about this fascinating animal at several nearby attractions. Besides the dinosaur museum, you can see a movie in the museum’s theater, and even purchase souvenirs.

The city is located at an elevation of 2,064 feet (629 m). There are several major roads running through the city, including Interstate 94. Montana Highway 16 begins in West Glendive. The Yellowstone River winds through the town. If you are visiting on a road trip, you can use a road map to find a place to stay within 100 miles of Glendive. This historic city was founded in 1880. The Northern Pacific Railway built this transcontinental railroad from Minnesota to the Pacific Coast. It was the agricultural center of eastern Montana and was home to the railroad’s largest terminal.
