Top 15 Places to Visit in Honolulu

January 20, 2022 | More: Places to Visit

The state’s capital and gateway to the U.S. island chain is a vibrant metropolis. In the city center, the iconic crescent beach of Waikiki dominates the landscape, surrounded by high-rise hotels, palm trees and Diamond Head crater. Visitors to the state capital should also visit the Pearl Harbor memorial, which includes the USS Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri Memorial. After a day of exploring the area, take a trip to the famous Aloha Stadium and the National Pearl Harbor Museum.

A botanical garden located just outside the city limits, the Lyon Arboretum features over 50,000 pieces of art from around the world. Founded by Anna Rice Cooke in 1927, it has since expanded and included a gift shop and outdoor cafe. The museum’s 280-seat theater features Spanish Moorish architecture, which is a highlight for tourists. The museum has more than one million visitors annually, and the gardens are always changing.

If you love art, you may want to visit the National Museum of Hawaiian History. Located in Chinatown, it contains a museum dedicated to Hawaiian art and culture. It is an excellent place to see Hawaiian paintings and other artifacts. You may also want to check out the Shangri La mansion, a modern take on the classic arabesque. A dormant volcanic cone, the Shangri La sits in the shadow of Diamond Head.

The Lyon Arboretum is a wonderful place for those who enjoy nature. It’s an ideal spot for a day of sightseeing. A heli-tour is another great option. A view of the city from the air will allow you to take in the city’s beautiful scenery. And if you’re in the mood for a picnic, you can take a scenic flight over the city. It’s the perfect way to see the city from above and get some fresh air.

Visitors to Honolulu should consider the beach. The city’s world-famous beaches are a great way to spend your time. The world-famous Waikiki Beach was once home to royalty and is considered to be the birthplace of surfing. The oceanfront region of Honolulu is also a great place to go if you love to surf. However, it can be expensive if you want to enjoy a relaxing stay.

The Honolulu Museum of Art is the best place to spend the day while visiting the island. The Honolulu museum of art has over thirty galleries and boasts a diverse collection, including works of Asian and Hawaiian art. During the day, you can also visit the Shangri La Museum, which specializes in Islamic art. It’s one of the top places to see in Honolulu.

Other popular places to visit in Honolulu include Bishop Museum, which was founded in 1889. It is home to the world’s largest collection of Polynesian cultural artifacts and 24 million natural history specimens. There are also several museums in Honolulu that focus on modern art and design. For a more traditional cultural experience, make sure to spend a day exploring the city. It’s not just a great place to spend a vacation, but also a great place to start a career.
