Top 15 Places to Visit in Las Vegas

May 6, 2022 | More: Las Vegas| Places to Visit

If you’re looking for the ultimate party destination, Las Vegas has you covered. Famous for its glittering casinos, A-list entertainment, and celebrity chefs, this city never disappoints. Nearby attractions include the Hoover Dam and Red Rock Canyon. Besides the casinos, Las Vegas offers day trips to the Hoover Dam, the desert’s Ghost Towns, and Area 51. In the autumn, take a hot-air balloon ride over the city.

One of the most recognizable symbols in Las Vegas is the “Vegas Vic” statue, which sits outside the Golden Nugget on Fremont Street. This iconic statue, which resembles a 1947 Chamber of Commerce character, was created to attract tourists to the city. First built outside the Pioneer Club in 1951, the Vegas Vic waved his arm when greeting guests. Now, a replica of this iconic figure is on display at the Circa Las Vegas resort.

Another interesting site in Las Vegas is the Neon Museum. It is home to more than a thousand artifacts and is an eerie reminder of the past. The museum contains photos of the nuclear testing site and exhibits about the culture and people in the surrounding area. The museum is well worth a visit if you’re in the area. There are many other museums in the city, but this one is a must-visit on your trip to Las Vegas.

While many of the attractions are on the Strip, the southern part is best for sightseeing. This section has several attractions and is home to the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada” sign. The southern end of the Strip is the most popular place to begin exploring the city’s most famous landmark. The Las Vegas Strip is also a must-see for those traveling on a tight budget. It’s the ultimate destination for families, couples, and friends alike.

If you want to see the sights of Las Vegas from a bird’s eye view, take a helicopter ride. Helicopter rides are available during the day but are most spectacular at sunset or after the nightlife begins. If you’re traveling with your partner, a helicopter ride is a romantic idea and will make for a memorable trip. If you’re planning a romantic trip to Las Vegas, this is the perfect activity.

You can view the city from a different perspective when you head up to the Stratosphere Building. This skyscraper, standing 550 feet tall, offers fantastic views of the city. You can even catch a glimpse of the iconic “Ocean’s 11” movie characters celebrating their big heist here. If you’re not sure whether you’d like to ride a gondola or a helicopter, you can opt to go on a plane ride instead.

Another great attraction in Las Vegas is the Mob Museum. It’s a must-see for any history buff. The museum’s exhibits and artifacts will educate you on the history of organized crime in the U.S. It’s also worth a day trip while you’re in town. The Mob Museum is part of the Go Las Vegas All-Inclusive Pass. While you’re in Vegas, you might want to visit both the Mob Museum and the Las Vegas Art Museum.
