Milan, a beautiful yet historic metropolis in northern Italy’s mountainous Lombardy region, is an international capital of design and fashion. You can also go on a wine tasting trip during your time away from Milan, as there are many wineries situated within the city of Tuscany. Another great attraction is the Duomo which is an ancient Roman temple dedicated to the goddess of healing.

Other museums to check out while in Milan include the Museo Milano, the Musee Civico e Galleria Borghese and the National Gallery in Rome to name a few. For those interested in art, the Saarinen museum in Milan has numerous paintings and sculptures which were purchased by prominent Milanese citizens and are now on display for the public. For those who want to learn more about the culture of Milan, then you might like to visit the Fondi Museum, the Saatchi Gallery and the Duomo. The Fondi Museum in particular is a significant cultural center for Milan as it houses some of the works of Michelangelo.

The last two museums to visit while in Milan are the Teatro Olimpico and the Santa Maria Novella. The Teatro Olimpico in particular is worth seeing due to the fact that it was one of the oldest theaters in the world and is one of the most visited museums in the whole of Italy. The Santa Maria Novella is the center of Renaissance Milan and is home to some magnificent architectural masterpieces. The architectural wonders are also worth seeing and this museum is the home of the world famous Saint rooftops.
