Featuring a museum and the historic home of author Zane Grey, this museum has something for everyone. This museum is especially interesting for history buffs, and the museum is located in a picturesque park. While you&#8217;re here, be sure to check out the historical museum and the Deming Pioneer Plaza. The museum has artifacts that explain Payson&#8217;s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Mogollon Rim is another great place to explore in the area. At 7,000 feet, this mountain ridge is the largest in the world. The Mogollon Rim is an incredible site to see, and you can hike or drive up it to see the views. You can even camp along the rim if you&#8217;re staying in the area. You can also enjoy hiking and biking trails in the surrounding areas. In addition to exploring the Mogollon Rim, you can go fossil hunting for dinosaurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the town&#8217;s high elevation, Payson has a warm Mediterranean climate. Summer temperatures in Payson range from high 80s to mid-90s, but it rarely goes below freezing. Throughout the year, the temperatures in Payson range from sunny to rainy, and the town&#8217;s climate is as varied as its landscape. Fall is the best time to visit Payson, particularly the Rim area. If you&#8217;re visiting the region, be sure to plan your trip in early autumn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you&#8217;re done touring the area, you can get back to the fun side by trying out some of the town&#8217;s attractions. The town&#8217;s Zane Grey Cabin is a fun landmark that features replicas made from ponderosa pine trees. The replica was made after the original burned down in a forest fire. The Mazatzal Hotel and Casino, one of Arizona&#8217;s premier casinos, is also a must-visit. With top-notch restaurants and gaming floor, it&#8217;s easy to spend a fun day in Payson Arizona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are plenty of historic buildings and sites to visit in the town of Payson. While there&#8217;s a small amount of traffic in this town during summer, it&#8217;s worth stopping in to see the local history and shop at local businesses. You may also learn about the history of the area and see how the town came to be so far from its original location. Once upon a time, Payson was covered with water. Many fossils of aquatic creatures can be found here. At 300 million years old, this site is the site of numerous archeological digs. The ruins of the ancient seabed make the hike an interesting experience for visitors of all ages.
