You&#8217;ll enjoy the city&#8217;s vibrant holiday atmosphere in the fall and winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While the Riverwalk is a public park, activities are not free. The Riverwalk is located one level below city streets. You can take an elevator to reach it, and there are restrooms and water fountains dotted along the path. You&#8217;ll find printable maps of the area and useful guides to explore it. If you&#8217;re staying in the area, consider taking a river cruise along the San Antonio Riverwalk. This will give you a great view of the city and help you navigate the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitors may be interested in learning more about the city&#8217;s rich history. The Alamo was founded by Spanish missionaries and was a church for the first few years of the Texas Revolution. It still remains the center of Catholic parishioners in the city, and over 5,000 people attend its weekly mass. Among its many historical attractions, the Alamo is perhaps the most famous landmark in the city.
