It is located about 195 miles south of Denver and 21 miles north of Raton, New Mexico. The city is located along the historic Santa Fe Trail. There are many things to do in Trinidad. Take a look at these activities and attractions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visit the Trinidad History Museum, located downtown. It is also home to the Mitchell Museum of Western Art. There are many interesting shops, cafes, and restaurants on Main Street, as well as general stores and thrift stores. You can even enjoy some outdoor shopping while you&#8217;re in town. There are many places to shop in Trinidad, and most of them have something for everyone. While you&#8217;re in town, check out all the unique shops and galleries in downtown Trinidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t miss the Corazon Gallery, a cooperative of local artists. You&#8217;ll be able to buy stunning art glass pieces and observe artists as they work. Art Cartopia is another fun attraction in Trinidad. It features a collection of carved Volkswagen parts and sideshow banners. You&#8217;ll also find a public park, restrooms, and a bronze statue of Kit Carson. If you&#8217;re looking for something more relaxed, you can also check out Corazon Gallery or Art Cartopia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Wormhole Loop Trail is a 2.3 mile loop trail, rated moderate for its difficulty, and has some scenic views. This trail can be accessed via I-25 South, or through Goddard Avenue. You can also take your dog along the Wormhole Loop Trail. Depending on your fitness level, you can choose between the two trails. While hiking and biking in Trinidad Colorado, you&#8217;ll have an opportunity to see both historic sites and beautiful landscape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Trinidad History Museum is another popular destination. This museum is comprised of several sites in the city&#8217;s historic district, including the Baca House and Bloom Mansion. The Baca House evokes the lifestyle of a prominent family from the 1870s. Other museums and sites of interest include the Santa Fe Trail Museum and Baca-Bloom Heritage Gardens. Several exhibits are featured in these buildings, as well as the original furniture and furnishings of the previous owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitors to Trinidad Colorado should hike up Simpson&#8217;s Rest and enjoy the view. This quarter-mile trail will bring hikers to Fishers Peak, which can be seen from almost anywhere in the town. During your hike, you can also take a look at Simpson&#8217;s Rest, a massive Sandstone bluff named after a frontiersman named George S. Simpson. While this isn&#8217;t the best hiking trail in Trinidad, it will provide a spectacular view of the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are plenty of restaurants to try while visiting Trinidad. You can enjoy delicious Italian and Mexican cuisine at Rino&#8217;s, which features an extensive wine list. Both of these establishments have comfortable surroundings and reasonable prices. If you want to see some art, Trinidad is home to the Mitchell Museum of Western Art. This museum showcases both old and contemporary works by local artists. Its eclectic design makes it easy to enjoy a relaxing, comfortable environment.
