This means that the area has a rich history and is a unique place for recreation. Whether you are looking for a scenic destination or a heritage landscape, Verde Valley is a must-see. It&#8217;s worth the long drive to visit and spend a night or two in a verde valley cabin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the top RV resorts in the region is Verde Ranch RV Resort. This resort was designed with relaxation in mind, with premium amenities that are sure to please. You can choose between full hookup RV sites with 50-amp service, or you can rent a furnished vacation rental cottage. Verde Ranch Resort features a heated pool, two hot tubs, a fitness center, and a dog park. There are also many other amenities to keep you and your family happy, including a playground and pickleball courts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another excellent destination in Verde Valley is Sedona, which is located just north of the valley. While Sedona is a great destination for outdoor recreation, you may want to consider staying in one of the other towns in the area. Oak Creek Canyon and Sedona are located to the north and Flagstaff is further north. I-17 provides easy access to Verde Valley and is about 50 miles from Phoenix. You can explore the region by car or take a shuttle to nearby attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Black Canyon National Recreation Trail Area has 37 miles of hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian trails. The trail follows parts of the historic Stock Driveway. You can also ride ATVs or kayaks on the riverfront. And of course, you can&#8217;t miss the Verde River. A variety of dining options is available in the area. This area is truly unique. So, plan a trip to Verde Valley and enjoy this incredible area. You&#8217;ll be glad you did!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trails: Verde RD is working to develop a series of trails in the area. The proposed Salt Flat Trail will connect to the existing Pine Mountain Trail system, providing a new loop opportunity and overall connectivity for trails in the area. Similarly, TR 072 is being proposed to be decommissioned to reduce conflicts with private land and protect the resources. Those are all good things! If you want to get out of the house, you&#8217;ve come to the right place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The West Mingus Ave DDRA contains gently rolling hills, as well as steeper slopes on Mingus Mountain. This area contains primarily deciduous shrub mix with some juniper. There&#8217;s also a historic Civilian Conservation Corps campground here, with 11 developed campsites and minimal facilities. Both are popular with hunters and Great Western Trail users. And with a small fee, you can even reserve the campsite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A well-maintained trail system will reduce erosion, improve local ecosystem health, and improve the quality of life for all. Trails will also link communities and connect with other destinations beyond the Prescott National Forest. So, the area will have a healthy and diverse trail network.
