The town thrived and became a stagecoach stop before it was eventually connected to the railroad in 1847. Today, Washington is home to over 100 antebellum homes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>High Falls State Park is a scenic 528-acre park that was purchased by the state in 1825.
