The history of San Juan Island is fascinating, as it was the subject of a “Pig War” between the English and the Americans, who argued over the island’s ownership. While visiting San Juan Island, be sure to stop by a farm and taste some local fare. The local farmers market is located on Lopez, Orcas and San Juan Islands.
