The artist was mostly self-taught, but his work has been featured in several exhibitions. The Jeffrey and Judy Hull exhibits are well worth a visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although Cannon Beach doesn&#8217;t have as many breweries as neighboring Portland or Bend, it still has a great selection of ales. Try Pelican&#8217;s &#8217;67 Blonde Ale,&#8217; which has earned it a place among the best in the state. Or try Bill&#8217;s Tavern &amp; Brewhouse, which features British-style ales and burgers. If you&#8217;re looking for something a little different, check out Arcadia Beach, a mile south of Cannon Beach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you love nature, don&#8217;t miss Ecola State Park. Located just to the north of Cannon Beach, this park is a must-see for outdoor enthusiasts. A scenic drive through the old-growth forest leads to the renowned viewpoint. This park&#8217;s 9-mile coastline is perfect for hiking, wildlife-watching, and tide pool exploration. The weather in Cannon is mild year-round, and the ocean here is never crowded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitors to Cannon Beach should plan to spend at least a day at the beach. The small town&#8217;s most notable landmark is Haystack Rock, a 235-foot rock. During low tide, a dry path will allow you to explore the rock without getting wet. The government has protected Haystack Rock, and it&#8217;s a popular destination. You can even see Grey whales in the waters off of the coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many places to shop in Cannon Beach. The Cannon Beach History Center and Museum is a great place to learn about the history of the town. The museum was built over 10 years ago and is filled with artifacts, interactive exhibits, and traveling exhibits. Its many local artists have made unique pieces that can be found at Icefire Glassworks. The Cannon Beach History Center and Museum will give you a good sense of the city&#8217;s history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you want to go indoors, you can visit the Coaster Theatre Playhouse, which used to be a roller rink in the 1920s. In the 1950s, it was converted to a local theatre. It is open all year round, and offers delicious meals at reasonable prices. For the foodie, there are many restaurants and pubs in Cannon Beach.
