Located near Illinois Creek off of Boreas Pass Road, he holds a Lodgepole pine tree in his hand. The sculpture was created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo, and is 15 feet tall, but it is made of recycled and scrap wood. The Trollstigen trail runs through the downtown area and is a popular spot for lunch and dinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While you&#8217;re in the area, you&#8217;ll want to try the area&#8217;s many dining options. The Breckenridge Heritage Alliance reports that a women&#8217;s group in the 1930s found a map that didn&#8217;t include Breckenridge. The group speculated that Breckenridge was not officially annexed by the US. Since Breckenridge had not been included on an official map, the women&#8217;s group made up a clever marketing campaign based on this map.
