The harbor in the town is home to the ferries to Nantucket and Martha&#8217;s Vineyard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Barnstable and Hyannis have plenty to offer visitors. The population center of Hyannis serves as the county&#8217;s economic hub. In addition to a variety of businesses and activities, the towns have a beautiful and serene natural setting. The local chamber of commerce will help you plan your trip to the area. While you&#8217;re visiting the towns of Hyannis and the Cape Cod National Seashore, make sure to check out the restaurants and bars in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve arrived in Hyannis, make sure to get a shower before you leave. Once you&#8217;ve dried off from the beach, walk around Hyannis Harbor and visit the HyArts artists&#8217; shacks. For delicious seafood, stop by the Shack Out Back Raw Bar at Black Cat Tavern. It serves fresh oysters and is a popular spot for locals. A good restaurant and a nice location make the experience more memorable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Coastal Excursion departs from Hyannis and Barnstable. From there, you can take a ferry to the islands, which is about a half-hour&#8217;s drive from Hyannis. You can also rent a car for the day, if you&#8217;re traveling by car. It will take about two hours to get from Boston to Hyannis and back.
