In addition, the town is home to wineries, and other businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aside from being a scenic beach town, Bodega Bay is also home to several popular attractions. The famous, upscale hotel in Bodega Bay is one of the landmarks of the area. It sits on the bay, surrounded by nature and boasts an outdoor pool and two restaurants. It also features the lounge bar from the Alfred Hitchcock film &#8220;The Birds.&#8221; The lobby of the hotel is filled with Hitchcock paintings and other memorabilia from the past.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pinnacle Gulch Coastal Access Trail is a half-mile coastal trail that gives access to a private, picturesque beach in Bodega Bay. The trail begins at the Bodega Harbour golf community and descends along a small stream before reaching a quarter-mile private beachfront. There are tide pools along the way, and the Pinnacle Gulch Coastal Access Road adds to the total distance of the hike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the Civil War, the Miwok and Pomo Indians lived on the bay. Their diets were mainly ocean-based, and they adopted numerous fishing techniques, some of which are still used today. The town also served as a backdrop for Alfred Hitchcock&#8217;s movie &#8220;The Birds&#8221; in 1963. Its history is fascinating and worth exploring. The town was featured in the iconic movie and has remained a sleepy, quaint town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Artisans&#8217; Co-op is a treasure trove of unique and handcrafted art. The Co-op, which has been in business for 20 years, showcases works of art created by over 50 Sonoma County artists. While the shop features scented candles and incredible paintings, the Co-op also offers docent-led tours of the historic buildings. Many of the local artists have been selling their goods for over twenty years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking for a low-key, authentic meal, consider the Artisans&#8217; Co-op. It is home to unique and handcrafted works of art by more than 50 Sonoma County artists. It is a great way to support the local economy and support the local arts. It&#8217;s a great place for a family vacation! If you&#8217;re looking for something whimsical, try buying a gift certificate at The Tides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several places to eat in Bodega Bay. The village is home to a large number of fishing boats. Visitors can take a walk through the village to see the fleet. You can also enjoy a meal at the Spud Point Crab Company. If you&#8217;re looking for a less-casual option, try the crab shack across the marina.
