The SS ATLANTUS, a World War I ship, broke loose during a storm in 1926. While the beach is a popular location for people watching, you can visit the wreck and admire the colors of the sea at low tide. In the 1950s, the SS ATLANTUS was painted with a boat insurance billboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re visiting Cape May, you can also enjoy a whale watching cruise from the Cape May Whale Watch and Research Center.
