The road itself is 56 miles long, and meanders through Chena River State Recreation Area. It is also the perfect destination for hiking, and there are many options to stay from rustic cabins to hotel units. The area is ideally suited for camping, and there are plenty of tent and RV campsites nearby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can visit the Chena River State Recreation Area, which is comprised of 397 square miles of wilderness. From here, you can travel south to the entrance of the 254,000-acre Chena River State Recreation Area. There are several access points to the park, including the Flat Creek ATV ramp, information signs, and a large paved parking lot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you&#8217;re driving to the park for the first time or are planning a vacation in the state, you&#8217;ll want to take the time to enjoy the beautiful scenery. The area is close to Fairbanks, but you should know the road to Chena Hot Springs. Once you&#8217;re there, you&#8217;ll be amazed by what you can see and do in the chilly, mountain air. When you&#8217;re there, don&#8217;t forget to bring your camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The scenic Chena River is a favorite of anglers and kayakers. The river is home to grayling, which are finned and swim in pools. In July and August, Chinook salmon spawn in the river, attracting bears and attracting visitors. You can visit the Fortymile Caribou Herd while you&#8217;re in town.
