Built in 1903, this charming hotel\/restaurant has been renovated and is a popular spot for locals. The atmosphere here is relaxed, and you can try a 50-cent oyster during happy hour! The Garfield Center for the Arts is also close by, and you can catch a film at the art deco theater or enjoy the music during the festival. You can also take a stroll around the town&#8217;s historic district and check out the re-enactments of angry citizens who fought to defend their freedoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The historic downtown of Chestertown features several museums and galleries. The town&#8217;s many colonial buildings and houses are beautiful examples of colonial architecture. There are plenty of outdoor places for strolling and people watching. If you want to learn more about the town&#8217;s history, you can attend a Chestertown Tea Party Festival. This festival brings people from across the region to the downtown area to celebrate the Boston Tea Party. The event features Colonial artisan vendors, live music, and raft races. A must-try dish is the Old Bay crab dip, served with the city&#8217;s famous bread and butter. The menu includes bourbons and cognacs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The city has several great restaurants. You can find everything from fish and chips to steak. A nice meal in the town&#8217;s restaurants is sure to make you feel relaxed and happy. You can also enjoy the outdoors by kayaking or boating. Besides the food and drink, you can also visit the famous Friends Lake Inn. There are many different restaurants in Chestertown. Among them is the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor. A lantern-led ghost walk in October is a must-see, and the National Music Festival takes place on the first Friday of each month.
