Delta Junction is a city in the Southeast Fairbanks Census Area in Alaska, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 958, up from 840 in 2000, and it is expected to grow to 931 by the end of 2018. The city is a short distance south of the confluence of the Tanana and the nearby River Delta. Big-Daby is the main attraction in the town. It is located along the Tanana River, and it is also one of the most popular destinations for tourists.

In 1919, the town of Delta Junction began as a construction camp along the Richardson Highway. The area was first known as Buffalo Center due to the presence of plains bison, which were transplanted into the area during the 1920s. Eventually, the state encouraged the development of an agricultural industry in the Delta area, and the town became incorporated as a second class city in 1960. In the 1990s, the city was impacted by the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, which brought dramatic growth to the area’s economy and population.

The city of Delta Junction is located in Southeast Fairbanks County. It is the 30th largest city in Alaska, and the 10708th largest in the United States. The population of the community is declining at a rate of -0.77% annually and has declined by -5.32% since the 2010 census. Its population density is 65 people per square mile. The town is surrounded by three mountain ranges, including the Sierra Nevada.

As of 2002, the town is booming with business. The state has partnered with the local government to build a missile test bed on the ruins of Fort Greely, and several national and regional firms have opened offices there. The local community also has a dairy farm. Homesteaders began bringing beef cattle in 1953. In the late 1970s, the city was incorporated as a second class city. In the 1970s, the Trans-Alaska Pipeline provided significant economic stimulus to the area.

After the Chisana Gold Strike in 1877, the town incorporated as a municipality. The construction of the pipeline to transport oil from the North Slope to Valdez helped the local economy, and in the early ’70s, it was the first town in Alaska to do so. By the end of the year, the town had about 3,000 residents, and a population of about a thousand. Despite its small size, the community is bustling and has plenty of attractions to offer travelers.

Visitors to the Delta Junction area should visit the nearby Clearwater National Park, where a scenic view of the mountains and the ocean can be seen. The town is located near a national park, and its location in the north makes it a popular tourist destination. While the town is not particularly close to the Gulf of Alaska, it is still an excellent place to see the Northern Lights. They can be viewed anytime you are at least 10 degrees above normal.
