It was originally a construction camp, and later it became a military post. Today, this community is home to the Pogo Gold Mine, which recently celebrated its tenth anniversary. Since 2006, the mine has yielded more than 3 million ounces of gold, and employs more than 300 people. It crosses the Tanana River at mile 275.4 on the Richardson Highway. There are several restaurants and pubs in Delta Junction, and the city also has its own brewery. There are several hotels in Delta Junction. All of them have good reviews. It&#8217;s worth stopping by if you&#8217;re traveling to the area. The town has a few different lodging options for travelers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The town is located in a valley that is famous for its wilderness. You&#8217;ll find several national parks in the region. You can visit the Yellowstone National Park in the northeast, the Clearwater State Recreation Site in the southwest, and the Tanana River Bridge in the east.
