The town of Eatonton is home to many distinctive historic homes. Visitors can tour the Wardwell House, built in 1848, the Bronson House, the Slade House, and the T. G. Green House. Panola Hall is pre-1850. The area’s history is reflected in the story of Uncle Remus, which was expanded by Joel Chandler Harris. The town is also known as the Dairy Capital of Georgia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
