In addition to the lighthouse, there is a small museum and gift shop to explore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Point Arena is a small incorporated city located two miles north of Gualala in Mendocino County, California. This area is rich in history and features many beautiful flowering plants. The Point Arena Lighthouse, located on the rocky shore, is a popular attraction and part of the Fort Point Group. You can visit the lighthouse and shop for souvenirs in the small gift shop. You&#8217;ll want to stop by both locations for a while.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you&#8217;re visiting the area, you should make sure to visit the Lighthouse and Point Arena Stornetta Unit of the California Coastal National Monument. The Point Arena Lighthouse is beautiful and the area is home to blowholes and the endangered Point Arena Mountain Beaver. Point Arena is also home to an array of other wildlife, including wolves, bobcats, and sea lions. There are many attractions to enjoy in Gualala and Point Arena California.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two communities share a natural environment with rolling hills and redwoods. Its rolling landscapes, split rail fences, and few people make for a picturesque setting. You can find villages with names like Mendocino, Fish Rock, Bodega Bay, and Elk, while passing through small towns. In fact, the two communities are neighboring and share the same coastline. You can also visit Point Arena, Sea Ranch, and Gualala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gualala and Point Arena are both excellent destinations for summer vacationers. The town of Point Arena is located around a natural cove and is home to the tallest lighthouse on the Pacific Coast. The secluded beaches here offer opportunities for surfing and fishing. At Bowling Ball Beach, you can see boulders shaped like a bowling ball and tide pools. The Point Arena Pier is a great spot for catching fish. It rises 25 feet above the water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite the fact that Point Arena and Gualala are not actually cities, they are quaint coastal hamlets located 14 miles north of each other. Although Gualala is the largest of these two, Point Arena is one of the four actual cities in Mendocino County. In fact, it is one of the smallest cities in California. In 1867, Point Arena was incorporated to control liquor licenses. The quaint hamlet has a rich history. Many buildings are built in the turn of the 20th century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The small community of Gualala and Point Arena is a perfect example of a remote coastal town. In fact, the only town with a population of over 500 people, there are only two grocery stores and two gas stations. Gualala also has only one store, Gualala Video, which rents out DVDs, CDs, and VHS. Its inventory is over 27,000 titles and is operated by David.
