The Arena Theater is open for concerts and performances, and it also offers telecasts of operas and classical music from the London National Theater and the Metropolitan Opera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Point Arena is a coastal hamlet located about 14 miles north of Gualala. Among the four actual cities in Mendocino County, Point Arena is one of the smallest. Although it&#8217;s one of the smallest, it boasts an interesting history. The town was incorporated to regulate the distribution of liquor licenses, but there&#8217;s more to the area than meets the eye. Several of the town&#8217;s buildings date back to the turn of the twentieth century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Visitors can also visit the Point Arena Lighthouse, which is a beautiful and scenic landmark. While there, don&#8217;t forget to take a look at the nearby Islands. The Point Arena National Monument is an area of over 20,000 rocks and islands on the California coast. The Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands includes more than 1660 acres of land with a two-mile stretch of coastline. Just to the north is the Point Arena Lighthouse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Located about three hours south of San Francisco, the Point Arena-Stornetta Public Lands are home to diverse performing arts communities, native American history, and early Californian culture. In fact, this area is also home to the only land-based portion of the California Coastal National Monument. If you visit the area, you&#8217;ll be able to see how the land came to be there.
