The festival takes place every October and has live music and a barbecue. The 1956 film starred James Dean, Elizabeth Taylor and Rock Hudson, and it was filmed in the town. A mural honoring the movie was completed by John Cerney in 2018, which includes pieces from the film set. In addition to its history, Giant is a popular tourist destination. The town&#8217;s cosmopolitan and multicultural character is a draw for film buffs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Photographers will find a mesmerizing atmosphere in Marfa, Texas. Frama, which serves small bites and has a fun mural out front, is another great option. And don&#8217;t forget to try the Marfa Burrito, which is served out of Ramona&#8217;s kitchen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While you&#8217;re in the area, don&#8217;t miss out on the Ghost Lights. These nocturnal lights have been confounding locals since the nineteenth century. Ranchers and Native Americans first reported them. The lights are sporadically visible and vary in color. Many sceptics blame them on headlights, but eye witnesses disagree with both explanations.
