National Harbor Recreation Area: For those looking for a quieter camping experience, there are several options to choose from. Visitors can walk on the sandy beach, hike in the woods, and paddle in the water. There are also historical attractions and educational exhibits about the first colonists that helped shape the city. Camping is another popular option, with sites near the water, restrooms, and a playground. All of these options are close to the highway, so you can easily get from one to the other without much effort.

Businesses in Virginia Beach include major national companies and international firms. Defense contractors and advanced manufacturers are among the local businesses here. With more than 200 foreign companies based in Hampton Roads, the city is a hub of international business.
