If you are a golfer, Fort Bragg has two world-class golf courses within easy reach. If you’d like to play professional sports, Charlotte, the “Queen City” of North Carolina, is a three-hour drive from Fort Bragg. Home to the majority of North Carolina’s professional sports teams, Charlotte offers the best of city life, as well as lots of opportunities for sports spectating.

While visiting Fort Bragg, you can learn about the community’s military history. The town has churches, cemeteries, and even the Sicily Drop Zone. For children, the Tinkergarten offers outdoor play-based activities designed to foster early learning skills. A certified local leader leads the activities, and the museum is free. The children’s museum offers a wide range of activities for kids of all ages. This is a great way to learn about healthy eating and safety issues.

If you’re looking for a place to stay while visiting Fort Bragg, it’s best to choose a place that’s close to the area’s military history. The United States Army’s presence in Fort Bragg is significant. This base is the home of the XVIII Airborne Corps and U.S. Army Special Operations Command. It’s also the home of the Paratute Team. The Army also operates the Corps Support Command at Fort Bragg. There are several units based in Fort Bragg, including the 525th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, 16th Military Police Brigade, and the 20th Engineer Brigade.

When you visit Fort Bragg, make sure you bring a government-issued photo ID with you. You’ll be required to surrender this when you check in. You should also bring your current car insurance registration. The public is welcome in some areas, but it’s best to call ahead before visiting. When you’re moving to Fort Bragg, you’ll want to know what city is closest to the location of your spouse’s office. The nearest city to Fort Bragg is Fayetteville, but it may not be the easiest to commute to. Other options include Aberdeen, Lillington, and Southern Pines.
