June 10, 2022 | More: Princeton New Jersey| Things to Do

If you’re considering a move to Princeton, New Jersey, consider making a stop at one of the local universities. The University has a beautiful campus and some of the country’s best colleges and universities are located in nearby towns. While you’re there, check out the University’s Chapel. This historical building has been open for visitors since 1928, and is a popular wedding and memorial service location. It is also a weekly place to hold services and features an organ with a sixty-voice choir. The historic building is Tudor Gothic and can accommodate up to 2000 people.

If you’re looking for things to do in Princeton, there are many options. Nature activities are popular in the area, and you can visit parks, bird sanctuaries, and other local attractions. This will keep you active and appreciate the finer things in life. For those looking for a little nightlife, try a show at the Princeton Garden Theater. The Garden Theater was opened in September 1920, and is now one of the city’s top nightlife spots.

Marquand Park is a charming 18-acre park in Princeton. The park features a giant man-made sand pit, an arboretum, and a playground. Visitors can play baseball or watch a ball game while enjoying the scenic landscape. Alternatively, you can enjoy a relaxing walk or a bike ride on the town’s bike paths. For a more cultural experience, head to the Princeton Art Museum or the Princeton Historical Society.

Albert Einstein once lived in Princeton. He shared the home with his wife Elsa until 1936. Elsa purchased the property from Mary Clark Marden. The house originally stood where Stuart Hall now stands on Princeton University, but the University built another campus and moved it together with 108 Mercer Street. Einstein lived in the house with his wife, sister, and step-daughter. In fact, the Einstein house became the Einstein residence for the rest of his life.

The University’s Nassau Hall is the oldest building on campus. Built in 1756, the building served a crucial role in American history as it was home to American and British soldiers during the American Revolution. The building also houses a library, classrooms, and a chapel. Nassau Hall is the administrative center for Princeton University. Its architects were Benjamin Latrobe and John Notman. If you’re looking for a historic building, Princeton is the place to go.

Historic Princeton is also home to a number of attractions. You can take a walk through the town’s historic district to see General George Washington’s statue. This 50-foot tall structure was inspired by Paris’ Arc de Triomphe. It depicts General Washington leading troops into battle. The monument was completed by Thomas Hastings and Frederick MacMonnies in 1922. Cherry trees line the path to the monument, and the surrounding area includes a bust of Albert Einstein and the USS Princeton bell.

For art lovers, Princeton is home to some of the finest museums in the world. The University’s Art Museum is one of the most impressive examples, housing more than nine thousand pieces of art. From ancient Greek and Roman art to Italian Renaissance paintings, this museum is well worth a visit. Princeton University also hosts performances of theater, dance, and performance art in its various venues. The CityWalk Princeton walking tour is the city’s only free historic walking tour company.
