You can’t go wrong with these must-see attractions! In addition to its world-class museums, this southern city has something for everyone, whether it’s food, culture, or sports.

While in Memphis, you must take the time to enjoy the city’s beautiful scenery. Tom Lee Park, for example, offers sweeping views of the city and Mississippi River. You can also take a walk along the paved paths and dog-walking trails. You’ll even have a chance to check out a native American tribe that lived in the area hundreds of years ago. There are also several attractions to see and enjoy in Memphis, and you can make the most of them by booking tickets in advance.

If you’re a fan of music, you should visit the legendary Capitol Theater. This restored movie theater is home to Estelle Axton and Jim Stewart, who made soul music popular across the globe. The staff at the Capitol Theater were very friendly and helpful, and tickets were a good price! While you’re in the area, don’t forget to visit Graceland to see the famous king’s former home. Beale Street is another major Memphis attraction. Beale Street is a world famous street where many of the most popular artists of the blues have performed.

The Stax Museum is another excellent place to visit. Located in the original Stax Recording Studio, the museum is a must-see for anyone visiting Memphis. Its Wall of Sound displays every album and single released by Stax from 1957 to 1975. The museum also gives insight into the history of the studios and subsidiary labels that were created by Stax. If you’re not a big music fan, you can still take a tour of the Lorraine Motel, where Dr. Martin Luther King and other important figures in the soul genre spent their last hours.

A visit to the Stax Museum of American Soul Music is another popular activity in Memphis. It is one of a handful of soul music museums in the world and houses more than 2,500 artifacts from the era of soul music. You can watch a documentary film about the life of the artist and explore his original instruments. You can even see the famous Soul Train TV show dance floor! All of these attractions are great for families, as well as anyone interested in American history.

A trip to the historic Orpheum Theater is another exciting way to spend a day in Memphis. The Orpheum Theatre is one of the city’s most popular vintage attractions, and it plays host to various jazz and Broadway performances. Some locals believe that the theater is haunted and a small girl guards the stage. Luckily, this ghost is friendly and you can test this theory by conducting energy readings of the theater.
