There are many things to do in Newark New Jersey. The city has some great museums, including the Newark Museum, located downtown on Washington Street. This museum features art and natural science exhibits from around the world, as well as ancient art and decorative arts. You can take tours and take classes here, or you can just enjoy the artwork without the cost. It’s a fun place to spend a day, and there are often free events to enjoy while you’re there.

Aside from shopping, dining, and museums, there are many activities in and around the city. You can take part in a symphony performance or attend a Zumba class. The city is home to Newark Riverfront Park, which is the largest museum in the state. Newark also has many historic neighborhoods, including the Ironbound neighborhood. If you’re looking for a place to spend your evenings, try the many restaurants in the area. Try local fare, as well as world cuisine.

There are many things to do in Newark, from shopping to visiting museums and galleries. You can even take in a musical performance at the Prudential Life Insurance Company campus. You can also try your hand at the Newark Jazz Festival. This is one of the city’s most popular cultural events, and jazz music plays a central role in the festival. In addition to jazz concerts, there are free street fairs and food festivals to check out.

The city is home to Branch Brook Park, which contains the largest collection of cherry blossum trees in the U.S. This park is filled with blossoming cherry trees in the spring and attracts thousands of visitors every year, and in the fall, it has the largest cathedral in the United States. The Newark International Airport is easily accessible from the city’s Penn Station. A shuttle bus runs from the train station to the Rutgers-NJMS campus.

If you’re craving authentic Portuguese cuisine, try the PortuCale Restaurant. This family-owned Newark restaurant serves authentic Portuguese fare in a comfortable setting. There is an outdoor patio area for smokers. The menu includes delicious charcoal-grilled meat dishes and an extensive selection of Portuguese wines and liqueurs. The restaurant also offers a variety of unique bar appetizers and drinks during its happy hour. So, if you’re in Newark, try one of these amazing restaurants.

You can also check out one of the ten NJ lighthouses. One of the longest and oldest boardwalks in the world, it’s located at the northern end of Long Beach Island and is home to the famous “Sailor’s Pier.” The other nine lighthouses can be seen in nearby Absecon. In addition to the two lighthouses, there is the Barnegat Lighthouse on the northern tip of Long Beach Island.

The Palisades Interstate Park is another great attraction. It’s a 12 mile long barrier island ecosystem with cliffs and beaches. With a cliff-top parkway, it’s a great place for hiking, biking, fishing, and picnicking. The park is a National Historic Landmark, and is accessible via Alpine Approach Rd. The park also features a pond and a restored historic Batsto Village.
