You can also explore the world of animals at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, home to sea lions and stingrays. You can also take a day trip to Yose National Park, which is located just outside of the city.

Art lovers will love the Fresno Art Museum, which features more than 3,600 works by internationally-renowned and lesser-known artists. You can enjoy the museum’s extensive collection, which focuses on contemporary and Mexican art, folk art, and modern artists. The museum is also home to the prestigious Trashique art show fundraiser, which brings in international and local artists. You can also attend special events, such as Broadway shows and professional sporting events.

If you’re looking for a fun tourist attraction, you shouldn’t miss the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. Located in Roeding Park, this museum began as a home for unwanted pets and an unofficial zoo. Records of the zo’s history date back to 1908, when people donated animals to the zoo. The museum became an official zao in 1929.

It has three main areas: The Shops at Riverside and the Marketplace at River Park. The Marketplace has the larger, more traditional big-box stores and restaurants, and the River Park Theater, which has 21 screens. With so much to do, this city is sure to please everyone.

The Tower Theatre is a historic landmark in the city. It was built in 1939 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The name of the theater comes from the nearby water tower. The Tower District neighborhood is located north of downtown Fresno and is one-half mile south of Fresno City College. It was a residential area before World War II. The neighborhood is home to many restaurants and is an ideal place to spend a day shopping.
