Gig Harbor Washington is a city on the shores of Puget Sound and bay. Located in Pierce County, it has a population of 12,026 as of the 2020 census, compared to 7,126 in 2010. Located in the northwest corner of the state, it has many things to offer those looking to relocate. Here are a few things to keep in mind about Gig Harbor. It is a coastal town with a large maritime industry.

Donkey Creek Park, an 11-minute walk from Susanne’s, is home to the Harbor History Museum. This exhibit showcases the history of the region and has interactive computer and video kiosks. A few of the buildings in the museum are refurbished old schoolhouses and boats. The exhibits are very educational and you can learn a lot about the area while you’re here. Gig Harbor has plenty to offer those who wish to spend time outdoors.

Located just 11 minutes away from Susanne’s, this 7,000 square foot maritime museum is a great place to learn about the history of the region and Puget Sound. It has evolved into five different locations over the last five decades. Visitors can learn about the town’s past through interactive exhibits and archival black and white photographs. Other popular parks include Penrose Point State Park and Kopachuck State National Wildlife Refuge. Both of these parks offer outdoor recreation.
