June 15, 2022 | More: Souvenirs

In Raleigh, you’ll find more than a dozen museums. From the Marbles Kids Museum to the Contemporary Art Museum, you’re sure to find something of interest to the whole family. The museums are open Tuesday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on weekends, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Most of the museums are free of charge, so you can enjoy them without breaking the bank.

From classic fruit baskets to gourmet food hampers, there is something to suit any budget. For less than $100, you can send a bouquet to a loved one in Raleigh. You can also choose between standard or expedited shipping for a gift basket to Raleigh. For something a bit more upscale, consider the elegant and unique gift baskets from Gingham & Posh. FromYouFlowers offers floral arrangements of all kinds and can even customize them for you, making your gift the perfect fit for any occasion.

The population of Raleigh is highly diverse and well-represented in professional sports. The city is home to the NHL’s Carolina Hurricanes (formerly the Hartford Whalers) – the only professional hockey team in the state to win a championship. North Carolina FC is another popular sports team in the city, as well as the Carolina Mudcats, a single-A baseball team. The women’s pro soccer team is another popular attraction in Raleigh.

Aside from being located near the Atlantic Coast and the Blue Ridge Mountains, Raleigh offers an endless variety of outdoor activities. You can go skiing in area ski resorts or enjoy the sun on one of the sunny beaches. In addition, Raleigh offers award-winning parks and greenway systems for residents to enjoy. There are also over 100 tennis courts. And all of the above is close to downtown Raleigh. So, if you’re looking for something new, try Raleigh! Then you’ll be happy you found it!

If you’re looking for culture, you can’t go wrong with the numerous museums and galleries in the city. Raleigh is dubbed the Smithsonian of the South, and for good reason. With 20 free attractions to choose from, you can’t go wrong. There are many museums to explore in the city, including the world’s largest natural history museum and the largest collection of European art in the South. Also, the arts are important in Raleigh, and the BTI Center for the Performing Arts, the North Carolina Symphony, and a summer outdoor theater are a couple of the many performances held there. There’s also the Broadway Series South and the North Carolina Symphony.

The city’s beltline of major roads and highways is an example of this. North Carolina’s Beltline features neighborhoods like Cameron Park, Boylan Heights, Country Club Hills, Five Points, and Glenwood-Brooklyn. It also passes the city’s historic Oakwood and Woodcrest. Those neighborhoods roughly correspond to the town’s original population before the boom. The city’s downtown core is located at the intersection of US 70 and N.C. Route 50.
