If you’re interested in visiting the Frederick County, Maryland towns of Thurmont and Emmitsburg, you’ve come to the right place. These cities are just 0.3 miles south of the Mason-Dixon line and are home to Mount St. Mary’s University. These small communities offer a great atmosphere and lots to do. When you’re ready to explore Thurmont and Emmitsburg, take a look at these photos.

The town of Emmitsburg, Maryland, is only a few miles north of Thurmont. The town is home to Mount Saint Mary’s College and has grown into an increasingly “green” community. It’s also near historic Gettysburg and has a high school, middle school, and elementary school located nearby. Emmitsburg is home to the Thurmont Community Show, which will be held September 9-11, 2014.

Residents in Thurmont and Emmitsburg are about the same age, but Thurmont’s median home price is 13.0% higher. The two towns have similar median home values, and both have a good public school system. In addition, both towns have a similar cost of living. The charges against Powell and Myers relate to drug distribution in western Maryland. Powell and Myers obtained heroin from sources and sold it to customers in Thurmont and Emmitsburg. Their target in Emmitsburg was Derek Dunsmore, who lived in Emmitsburg. This case has led to a federal investigation of the heroin distribution in western Maryland. If convicted of a drug crime, you’ll need to make a significant financial contribution.

For the wine lover, there are several award-winning vineyards in Thurmont and Emmitsburg. Catoctin Breeze Vineyard and Winery is one of them. This award-winning vineyard specializes in Cabernet Franc varietals. It’s also family-owned, and offers a tasting room for groups of six or more people. The winery is open during the week and guests can sample the wines as they walk through the vineyard’s grounds.

This community also hosts a wide range of events, including the Robert Kaas Horseshoe Pitching Contest, a quilt and afghan show, and the Thurmont Regional Public Library’s annual book sale. The Library also hosts a Quilt and Afghan Show, and a Thurmont Area Historical Photos exhibit. If you’re interested in seeing the historical sites of the area, you can visit the Roddy Road Covered Bridge. This historic structure was built in 1848 and was named after the nearby historic Western Maryland Railroad Station. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, but unfortunately, in 1991, it was severely damaged by arson. After the accident, it was rebuilt using the surviving framing and pier. It crosses Owen’s Creek and provides scenic views for travelers.
