If you’re interested in seeing the historical sites of the area, you can visit the Roddy Road Covered Bridge. This historic structure was built in 1848 and was named after the nearby historic Western Maryland Railroad Station. The bridge was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978, but unfortunately, in 1991, it was severely damaged by arson. After the accident, it was rebuilt using the surviving framing and pier. It crosses Owen’s Creek and provides scenic views for travelers.
