If you’ve ever wanted to see the natural beauty of the area, then you should consider a trip to Pacific Grove California. This charming city is located between Monterey and Point Pinos, and has approximately 15,000 residents. The city has earned the nickname “Butterfly Town U.S.A.”, in part, because of its dazzling Victorian homes. In fact, the city has the highest percentage of historic homes per capita in the United States – 75% of its houses are classified as historical. The Point Pinos Lighthouse is the oldest operating lighthouse on the west coast.

There are several things to see in Pacific Grove. If you’re a nature lover, you can walk or bike along the coastline. The city has a rich history, and you can learn about local wildlife and early Native American culture at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History. You can also catch the famous AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, which dates back to the 1930s. This PGA Tour golf event is held annually in Pacific Grove and is free to attend.

For fun activities, check out the Big Sur Adventures e-bike tours of Pacific Grove. This tour company offers tours for everyone, from beginners to pros, so you can try it out! Tours include 17-Mile Drive, the Old Coast Road, and McWay Falls, and they have both regular bikes and electric bikes for rent. You can even hire a private bike ride for your group, or arrange a customized tour.

For nature lovers, you can visit the Monarch Grove Sanctuary, a butterfly sanctuary where you can see thousands of monarch butterflies. During their migration season, you can also watch the butterflies at Winston’s Café, which serves a delicious brunch. During the viewing season, the Monarch Grove Sanctuary is open from sunrise to sunset. You can even visit the sanctuary with a scope, if you want. The sanctuary is located in the heart of downtown Pacific Grove.

While you’re in Pacific Grove, consider the time of year you plan to visit the grove. If you’re looking to get out and hike, the fall and spring seasons are the most beautiful times to visit. The cool climate in October is accompanied by warm weather, and the monarch butterflies will arrive in full force as they migrate. And if you’re planning a trip to the grove, don’t forget to pack layers. And be sure to bring closed-toe shoes for the trail.
