As one of the most picturesque communities in Colorado, Cortez is an ideal jumping off point for several adventures. With a variety of lodging, local wineries, a weekly Farmer’s Market, and exceptional art galleries, Cortez provides something for everyone. Its unique blend of the Old West and the modern world, great food, and pre-Columbo America are sure to make your visit memorable. There’s something for everyone!

The city is also a great place to relax and unwind. The downtown of Cortez is several blocks long, and the main drag is a pedestrian mall. During the summer, you can enjoy live music, outdoor concerts, and a children’s playground. Despite the hot weather, the city is filled with a number of outdoor parks, including Parque de Vida. If you’d like to get some exercise, you can visit the nearby Parkside Trail.

The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is a great way to see the area. The ride will cost you around $15, but it’s one of the most unique and exciting railway attractions in the US.
