The town’s vibrant history includes several famous visitors. Doc Holliday, a dentist, gambler, and gunfighter, spent months in the town before dying there. Similarly, Kid Curry and Butch Cassidy spent their final months in the town. President Teddy Roosevelt spent summers in the city. Moreover, Ted Bundy, a notorious escaped convict, was jailed in the city and later escaped to freedom.
