The Kennebunks is a town in York County, Maine. At the 2020 census, it has a population of 11,536. A visit to the town will undoubtedly leave you with many memories. Here’s what you need to know about this charming and picturesque region. Before making any travel plans, make sure to check out the town’s website to find out more information. There’s also a list of important dates and places to visit.

There’s also a thriving arts community in Kennebunkport, which features upscale restaurants, boutique shops and art galleries. In the town center, you’ll find a single standout church: the First Congregational Church, with its 100-foot belfry and steeple. Known as “the wedding cake house,” the First Congregational Church is one of the town’s most popular attractions.

For an afternoon activity, you can go on a lobster boat tour or take a kayak trip to Cape Porpoise Harbor. You can also take a tour to see lobsters in the wild. In the morning, you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading back to town for lunch. At sunset, you can catch a lobster, and then head to the harbor to enjoy a romantic dinner with your loved one.

The town’s harbor and beaches make it a great summer vacation destination. Enjoy beautiful beaches, picturesque landscapes, and delicious eats while exploring the town. No matter the time of year, there’s a place to visit in the Kennebunks. And if you visit in the winter, the town is almost completely sleepy. Then again, who says that Maine isn’t beautiful? In addition to the Cape Arundel Inn, you can stay at the historic Old Fort Inn. This 19th century mansion has been welcoming guests since 1899. Between 2012 and 2015, it underwent a three-stage renovation. A new restaurant, outdoor fireplace and terrace make it a great option for a relaxing weekend getaway. You’ll find affordable weekend rates here at the Inn, which has free WiFi, bottled water, and afternoon hot chocolate served in the reception.

If you want to sample some local food and drink, try the infamous Maine Blueberry Kuchen, served with homemade vanilla bean ice cream. While you’re there, be sure to try the local craft beer. A local favorite, Bandaloop, has won national recognition for its lobster Savannah. Guests are encouraged to try the seasonal selections at a lobster-themed dinner. These are just some of the many special events happening this fall at inns in the region.
