July 21, 2022 | More: Tourist Attractions| Wilmington Vermont

If you are looking for the best places to dine in Wilmington Vermont, you have come to the right place. Wilmington is a small town with just over 1,900 people, but it’s also a popular tourist destination. It’s a tight-knit community with lots of dining options and things to do, including hiking and biking trails. There are many unique places to eat in Wilmington, including the historic Wilmington Inn. Here, you’ll find everything from a quaint family-owned diner to fine-dining.

One of Wilmington’s mainstays has been Dot’s Diner for over 40 years. Despite a devastating hurricane that destroyed much of Wilmington in 2011, the diner was rebuilt by community members. The story of this restaurant’s remarkable turnaround is told in an article by the New York Times. Read about this restaurant’s history and learn about what makes Wilmington so special. We wish you a happy visit to Wilmington and Southern Vermont! Consider staying in Wilmington for a day or two and explore this small town.

A short drive from Wilmington is Mount Snow, a popular ski area for New Englanders. You can also go hiking and biking at nearby Haystack Mountain. The town is also home to Hogback Mountain, which has a lookout point, a gift shop, and a brewery. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear for walking on the mountain, as it can be icy and slippery. Enjoy the Vermont countryside and the mountains while visiting Wilmington.

If you’re looking for a place to live in the Green Mountains, Wilmington is a great place to consider. The city is nestled in the Deerfield Valley region of southern Vermont. It is situated in between the larger towns of Brattleboro to the east and Bennington to the west. With Route 9 and Route 100 nearby, you’ll be able to get to Wilmington in about 30 minutes. However, there are also plenty of small towns in the area where you can rent an apartment or buy a home.

Lake Whitingham, also known as the Harriman Reservoir, is one of the biggest bodies of water in the state. You can swim, boat, paddleboard, and fish from its shores. You can even enjoy a picnic at one of the picnic tables along the lake. For the more adventurous, you can rent a kayak or a pontoon boat from High Country Marine. The area also offers many excellent golf courses and plenty of antique shops.

Another interesting activity in Wilmington, Vermont, is hiking. There are many hiking trails to choose from. You can also visit Hogback Mountain, a natural history museum, distillery, and restaurant. A number of hiking trails lead to the top of the mountain, and some are easy and safe for all skill levels. Located on the north side of route 9, the trails are accessible from April to October. And if you want to take a bike tour, you can head to the Mount Olga Trail, a 1.6-mile lightly trafficked loop. The river and forest provide plenty of photo opportunities.
