If you love books, Lexington is the place for you. Not only is there an incredible selection of them in the historic downtown, but there are also plenty of places for you to eat and drink, too. The Hampton Inn Downtown is a convenient location for visiting the city’s attractions. The hotel has rooms ranging from compact singles to large suites. A fitness center and an indoor pool add to the convenience of this location. A restaurant, bar, and indoor pool provide a nice place to relax after a long day of shopping. If you’re traveling with pets, you’ll love the Hampton Inn, which features dog-friendly accommodations.

Art is abundant in Lexington. Many of its buildings are decorated with large murals. Some of the most popular ones include “Louis Armstrong,” “Lily and the Silly Monkeys,” and “The Hive Salon.” You can also see a large painting of Lincoln by Kobra, which is located on the back wall of the Kentucky Theatre on Vine Street. It’s an impressive sight to behold and definitely worth a visit. And don’t miss the chance to spend a day at the Horse Park of America!

For nature lovers, there are numerous attractions in and around Lexington. The Confederate Soldier Monument, a memorial to Adolph Rupp, and a bird blind for nature observation are all listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The city’s earliest settlers were drawn to the area by the city’s rich history and natural beauty. The city’s colonial past is not lost on music lovers. The city’s famous bluegrass music festival is held in early June.

One of the most famous chocolate makers is the Old Kentucky Chocolate factory. Take a tour and see the production process from beginning to end. You’ll see everything from the chocolate’s manufacturing process to the packaging. There are many outdoor activities and an exciting nightlife in Lexington. However, if you want a bit of culture, you can always visit the nearby city of Louisville. You’ll find it easy to plan a trip to Lexington during these months!

The Oliver Brown family flourished in the horse industry, and their descendants later commissioned Robert McMeekin, an architect from Kentucky, to build a two-story wing to the left of the original house. The renovations added crown moldings and a modern staircase. The original floor was Heart Pine, but the new addition features Ash. Moreover, the floors were refinished to a beautiful white, smooth finish. A Storybook Inn is located on the ground zero of Bourbon Trail and horse country.
