There are several great places to stay in Luray, Virginia, including the historic Mimslyn Inn. This charming bed and breakfast has been hosting visitors since 1890 and boasts more than a thousand works of art. Another great place to stay in Luray is the Hotel Laurance, which is a boutique hotel with a great atmosphere. You can also stay in a charming bed and breakfast in the historic Hawksbill House.

Near the Luray Caverns, you’ll find the Car and Carriage Caravan Museum, which was started by former Luray Caverns Corporation president H.T.N. Graves. Graves’ collection of antique and classic cars and carriages chronicles the evolution of travel. As time passes, artifacts become more refined and the horse and buggy transforms into a car, the museum highlights the evolution of travel and art.

For more unique attractions in Luray, visit the Luray Caverns. The state’s largest cave is here, and is a must-see attraction for any visitor to the area. The ten-story ceilings and colossal stone formations are breathtakingly beautiful. The caves themselves are filled with crystalline forms of limestone, and the most beautiful section of the cave is Giant’s Hall, where the tallest column stands at 47 feet.

The Luray Zoo – A Rescue Zoo is another great place to visit in Luray. The Luray Zoo accepts retired zoo animals, confiscated animals, and unwanted pets. Once you’re here, you’ll definitely feel at home!

The Skyline Drive is another great attraction in Luray, VA. It’s best to drive along it during the golden hour. Once you’re done, you can head back to Luray via highway 340. Harrisonburg, Virginia, has a tagline of ‘friendly by nature’, so be sure to visit here! While you’re in Luray, Virginia, be sure to take the time to check out Skyline Drive and explore the Shenandoah Valley!

When biking on the Greenway, be sure to use extra caution in traffic. You might encounter other cyclists, and you don’t want to make a scene. If you’re unsure of where to go, the Luray Parks & Recreation Department can help you. If you have any questions, feel free to contact them and ask about safety on the Greenway. It’s a beautiful, scenic area that offers a unique outdoor experience for all visitors!

If you’re looking for something more challenging, you may want to try out the Garden Maze. This one-acre hedge maze is half a mile long, and handicap accessible. Families with young children will love the garden maze, and it’s accessible for strollers and wheelchairs. You can also spend the day exploring the rest of the Luray Valley. Just be sure to wear comfortable clothing – you won’t regret it!
